Clockwise Mosey

Clockwise Mosey

It all started with a dream I had. One night, years ago, my friend Joe was at my house showing me the turnaround for a song I was working on. I didn’t have lyrics, just an idea on my guitar. After he left, I sat on my sofa watching TV and playing through the riff. This when on for an hour or so and then I got stoned, finished my whiskey, and when to bed. That night I had a dream and is the beginning of the love story.

At this point I want to take you through the Clockwise Mosey record. Not only to tell you the stories in the songs, but also the stories behind the songs. How the songs came about and the inspiration that led me too them. Now the adventure through the mind of Clockwise Mosey all you need to do is…

I was March 14th 2019. I just got done at Evel Pie in Las Vagas with legendary Thor. We knew it was coming, but the next morning Las Vagas was starting shut down. The tour was over and we drove 8 hour a day for 3 days, watching the country shut down behind us, as we made our way home. Back to normal life and back to my normal job as grocery manager at the local grocery store.

So a few days later I was sitting on the back dock with some other employee having a smoke and taking about the end of the world. All the new rule about testing and mask and blah, blah, blah, when I said something to the effect of, “I have a very rare blood type and I never get sick. Hell one day they will probably realize that my blood is super blood and is the cure for everything and then I will be the new Jesus.” Everyone laughed and finished our smoke and when back to work. Later that night I was thinking about line I’m the new Jesus and I kind of already had a melody in my head, So I sit one the sofa with my guitar, with new on in the background. So I stop a moment to listen of all the news channels tell there side of the world coming to an end. That made my mind wander and came to a place that I realize a couple of things. People will believe anything if it makes then fell comfortable, and how easy it would be to start a cult. From there the song wrote itself.

Follow Me.

On the first day did I amuse you, as much you did me, I want to follow me.

On the next day I confused you, or at least it seems, I want you to follow me.

Follow me like in the new Jesus

Follow me and take my hand.

Follow me into Eden.

Hold your breath and follow me, to the promise land.

So, the first thing I do is employ you to see what I see. I want you to follow me.

The next thing I do is I tell you what you should be, I want you to follow me.

Follow me, like I’m the new Jesue.

Follow me and take my hand.

Follow me into Eden.

Hold your breath and follow me, to the promise land.

By now I am sure to control like a puppet on a string.

I want you to follow me.

I last thing I do is destroy you, because you don’t believe,

I want you to follow me.

Follow me, like I’m the new Jesue.

Follow me and take my hand.

Follow me into Eden.

Hold your breath and follow me, to the promise land.

Everyone comes to a place in life where the culmination of your existence starts to get heavy and you just start to not care.  As you look back at life and opportunities seized and missed, love found and lost, right turns in the wrong direction. You feel like you are lost and alone in this world. Well this was my moments of complete fuck it. I am over all of this, and I might as well let the devil take my soul.

 Devil Take My Soul

Devil take my soul.

Devil take my soul.

Cuz I just don’t been it anymore.

I’d trade my life for a bottle of whiskey, I’ll trade death for nothing at all.

I know no one here is missing so I’m writing on the wall.

That I want, I need,  while I breath.

Devil take my soul.

Devil take my soul.

Cuz I just don’t been it anymore.

I’d trade yesterday for a look at tomorrow.

I’ll trade today for nothing at all.

I know it’s a hard pill to swallow I rather die before the fall

That I want, I need,  while I breath.

I’d trade my soul for a chance to make history

All I need is someone to love me to save me from it all

That I want, I need,  while I breath.

I’d trade my life for a bottle of whiskey, I’ll trade death for nothing at all.

All I need is someone to love me to save me from it all

That I want, I need,  while I breath.

That I want, I need,  while I breath.

That I want, I need,  while I breath.

Remember earlier when I told you about this dream I had… So to start where I left off, I smoked some weed, finished my whiskey and went to bed. That night I had a dream that Woman and I were living with her mom for some reason. One day while Woman was at work her mom kicked me out and told her I left her.  So in the dream I wrote her a note and slipped it under the door. This Song was that note.

I’ll Be Back Around

I didn’t leave you baby, you mamma put me out.

I didn’t leave you baby, you mamma put me out.

So I’m gonna go kill that bitch tomorrow

And I’ll be back around

I didn’t leave you baby, she got in my head.

And we just won’t be happy ‘til that old bitch is dead.

I’m talkin about freedom, to do what we do.

So I’m gonna you kill that bitch tomorrow and I coming back for you

I didn’t leave you baby, you mamma put me out.

I didn’t leave you baby, you mamma put me out.

So I’m gonna go kill that bitch tomorrow

And I’ll be back around

We’ll have to run and hind and never settle down

We’ll cut our hair and change our name and move from town to town

I’m talkin about freedom, to do what we do.

So I’m gonna you kill that bitch tomorrow and I coming back for you

I didn’t leave you baby, you mamma put me out.

I didn’t leave you baby, you mamma put me out.

So I’m gonna go kill that bitch tomorrow

And I’ll be back around

So I’m gonna go kill that bitch tomorrow

And I’ll be back around

Cowboy

I am the darkness, oh I am damned

I am the outcast, I am the lamb

I am the thing what walks in the night

The bringer of dawns daylight,

I am the cowboy and I am the fhief

I am a legend of disbelief

I will absorb you and spread my disease

I am the cowboy and I am the thief

I speak to you softly to here what say

with no good intentions, I need you with

I can’t help the demon that lives in my soul

Maybe I could or I could let go.

I am the cowboy and I am the thief

I am a legend of disbelief

I will absorb you and spread my disease

I am the cowboy and I am the thief

I am the darkness and you are the light

The thing that brightens my night

I hope I will find you I hope we were right

Into the darkness goodnight

I am the cowboy and I am the thief

I am a legend of disbelief

I will absorb you and spread my disease

I am the cowboy and I am the thief

Woman

Woman I wish I could give on you

just as easy as you gave up on me.

Woman my heart is braking

Into pieces everyday

It’s been such a long time,

 I didn’t feal like rain.

And I’m so along now,

I run away, Oh so far away

Woman I wish I could give on you

just as easy as you gave up on me.

Woman my heart is braking

Into pieces everyday

The more I tried to love you

The more you pushed me away

And I’m so alone now

I hide away oh os far away

Woman I wish I could give on you

just as easy as you gave up on me.

Whiskey

Hello love, how you been, nice to see you again

Come have drink with me

So I’ll sing the song

All day long

I need whiskey

I was up you are there I can stlll smell last night in the air.

So tell me what this means

Or I think just pour me a drink

 Cuz I need whiskey

I need whiskey all the time

I ruin my life and spend my last dime

To slowly put me in a tomb

With any luck I’ll settle up

I need whiskey

And at night I laydown

And i sure miss having you around

After all that we’ve been through

So once again my only friend

I need whiskey

I need whiskey all the time

I ruin my life and spend my last dime

To slowly put me in a tomb

With any luck I’ll settle up

I need whiskey

With any luck I’ll settle up

I need whiskey

. Those places that are dark and lonely and you only have one friend. What ever your poison is mine was whiskey. It had been my drink of chose for most of life.

Not Today

Death is chasing me, breathing down my neck.

To take from me my last breath.

He follows me all my days

And in a plea not today death not today.

Not today, not today, not today

I’m not done, get out of my way.

Not today, not today, not today

I said I’m not done, get out of my way.

Change Is Coming

Change is coming oh, oh, oh

Change is coming down the road

Change is coming friend or foe

Change is coming don’t you know

If I had a dollar for all my sins

I’d be a rich man still not getting in

Live like king and die like a bum

All alone oh, oh oh,

All alone oh,oh,oh

If I would go back and do this again

I don’t know the difference, it would have made

I’ll still end up here in the end

All alone oh, oh oh,

All alone oh,oh,oh

Death is coming oh, oh, oh

Death is coming down the road

Death is coming friend or foe

Death is coming don’t you know

If I would go back and do this again

I don’t know the difference, it would have made

I’ll still end up here in the end

All alone oh, oh oh,

All alone oh,oh,oh

Hell is coming oh, oh, oh

Hell is coming down the road

Hell is coming friend or foe

Hell is coming don’t you know

Now my salvation has come to an end

And walk through the fires where I know I’ve been

It’s not the first time it won’t be the last

I end up here oh, oh, oh

oh, oh, oh,

oh, oh,oh,

oh, oh, oh,
